The South Australian National Debating Team has ranked FIRST at the conclusion of the minor rounds of the National Debating Championships in Brisbane 1 - 7 August 2010:
Round One: SA def Qld 2-1
Round Two: SA def WA 2-1
Round Three: SA def Vic 2-1
Round Four: SA def Tas 3-0
Round Five: SA def NSW 2-1
Round Six: ACT def SA 3-0
Round Seven: SA def NT: 3-0
Unfortunately, SA lost to Queensland in the semi final, and to Victoria in the preliminary finals, so has finished third overall in the competition. We congratulate all the team - you did so well throughout the tournament. And we wish Victoria and Queensland the best of luck in the Grand Final.

The South Australian Debating Association Inc (SADA) is the state’s largest, longest running and most recognised debating association. We have provided a schools competition since 1967, and are the sole South Australian affiliate to the Australian Debating Federation. Our aim has been to create the most effective and enjoyable competition available in South Australia.
We continue pursuing this goal, coordinating the a highly successful schools' competition, selecting and coaching the schools' state team, running an adults competition in conjunction with Adelaide University Debating Society and training adjudicators.
