Schools’ Competition

The SADA's primary function is to run the SADA Schools’ Competition. This competition is South Australia’s premier debating competition and has run continuously since 1966. Though the style of debating has changed much since that time, the competition has remained of a high standard and students' academic and personal development have benefited greatly from their participation in debating with the SADA.

The competition is aimed at students from years 5 to 13 of all abilities. Though very competitive the competition retains a strong educational focus, with experienced adjudicators providing insightful, constructive and age appropriate feedback and topics designed to broaden students general knowledge and analytical ability.

Team entries for the 2019 SADA Schools' Competition are now open.
